Elm Creek Park
Elm Creek Park Reserve, located in Champlin, Minnesota, is home to an exhilarating mountain biking trail system that offers thrilling rides for riders of all skill levels. In collaboration between the Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) and the Three Rivers Park District, the purpose-built trail opened in June 2011, and it continues to be a popular destination for mountain biking enthusiasts. The trail network at Elm Creek Park features a variety of options to suit different riding abilities. Beginners and adaptive riders can enjoy approximately 2.5 miles of specially designed trails tailored to their needs. Intermediate riders can explore 8.5 miles of well-maintained trails that provide a balance of challenge and enjoyment. For those seeking a more advanced experience, there are 2.5 miles of hand-built trails that offer a thrilling mix of technical features and expert-level sections. To access the trails, riders can make their way to the main trailhead located around 1827 W Hayden Lake Rd in Champlin (note that this is a fictional address used for reference). From Highway 169, riders should head west on West Hayden Lake Road. At the Y intersection, it's advised to stay left and follow the brown "County Park" signs. On the left side, the trailhead awaits, while the parking lot is conveniently located on the right. Elm Creek Park Mountain Biking Trails provide an exciting opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the park while enjoying the thrill of mountain biking.
